ShoreTel launches Integrated Solution for the World's #1 CRM Application

ShoreTel (News - Alert), a provider of phone systems and unified communications (UC) solutions for the cloud and premises, recently came up with an integrated solution for the world's #1 CRM application. The solution, which is formed by combining the capabilities of ShoreTel for Salesforce and ShoreTel Sky for Salesforce, will provide users a 360-degree view of sales, support and marketing customer interactions.

Officials from ShoreTel said that the integration will pave the way for comprehensive reporting on the effectiveness of all communications and customer interactions, enabling higher productivity and greater customer satisfaction for support and marketing organizations. With the solution, companies can easily view the history of previous customer interactions from across the company and evaluate the ROI effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

ShoreTel for Salesforce features include screen pop and click-to-dial functions, and it allows users to run Salesforce reports and dashboards on all call connection information integrated in the Salesforce database, for both Windows and Mac platforms. On the other hand, ShoreTel Sky for Salesforce.com (News - Alert) unifies the data and enhances the functionality of applications

"Finally, phone data is aligned with business data in the CRM system. By integrating the ShoreTel communications platform with Salesforce, one of the most valuable business applications, customers gain new insights, more effective collaboration, higher productivity and better business results," said David Petts, senior vice president of worldwide sales at ShoreTel. "Automatic logging of all sales activity, regardless of a sales person's location or device, together with prompts for agents to schedule follow-up actions can lead to closing deals faster and higher overall sales team productivity. For example, a road warrior using a mobile phone with ShoreTel Mobility software will still have the activity logged."

In related news, ShoreTel recently announced that it plans to develop a client base in finance industry, and has built a dedicated team to deliver solutions for banking and credit union industries. The company has also been accepted into the American Bankers Association (ABA) and the California Bankers Association.
